OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is now available at the EyeCareHK with the OptoVue. The OCT creates a cross-sectional image of specific structures in your eyes allowing for a more thorough and detailed determination of your eye health. (3-dimension scanning for eye structures)

It is a non-invasive procedure that creates a high-resolution image of structures of your eyes in seconds.

OCT can measure accurately the 10 different levels of our retina and nerve fibers thickness. With an additional convertor, your optometrist can also measure the corneal thickness of your eyes and reveal the anterior angle structure of the eyes.

Your optometrist at the EyeCareHK can make good use of the OCT to help in diagnosis or monitoring conditions such as age macular degeneration, macula edema, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, diabetic retinopathy, karatoconus, posterior conreal ectasia after Laser refractive surgery. This is another important procedure in maintaining good eye health.
